Stop Cramping my Style!!

I always believe that everyone has a lot of role to play, for me, they are a brother, a son, a friend and also my job at the moment, a teacher. Having different roles meaning a list of different priorites in life. Life haven't been easy after coming back, with every move been watched so closely by someone and that has been a problem lately. That has have a effort on me. I'm no longer happy in life, no longer been able to think or feel postive. With all her comments been so negative, it's only a matter of time before I turn a deaf ear on her. Talking to her, been my closest family, is no longer enjoyable. She will look at all the negative things that ever comes out from you and make it worse by returning it to you. not once, but many times in a day. When I come home, the last time I need is someone saying all the horrible things to me. It's been a long time since I felt that no one really hope at the moment. I know this phrase will have to pass by soon. I have too many important things ahead of me to worry of all this feeling and been good about oneself.

Maybe I have been caring too much about my friends and kids at work that my family members are suffering from this side-effort. But as a only guy at home, I'm doing my best to be a good son, brother and a housekeeper, of which I'm never good at. My style has been all cramped up since I'm back in Singapore. I'm in my mid twenties and at times, the way I have to not go out and stay at home, not been able to enjoy my time with friends and outing, make me feel like I'm a bird without wings. Not been about to go anyway, but home.

P.S. It's my one week break from teaching and I'm suppose to go kite flying today and guess what, here I am, been cramp at home.

what a relief!

It is my job at the moment. For some I'm a part timer and at times, I'm a relief. I have been a relief teacher for about a month now. I was thinking that being a teacher is a lousy job and if I were to become one, it has to be because of karma. This entry is to share some jokes that I had heard and shared with the kids in school.

Embrace yourself!

Joke 1#
Student 1: Teacher teacher!!
me: yes?
Student 1: See seee there got money. (student 1 pointing to the floor)
me: where?! (looking towards the direction)
Student 1 and student 2 & 3: $$ face!!! ( the whole class started to laugh..)

Joke 2#
Student 1: Uncle! uncle!
me(Looking lost) : go back and ask your friends what my name is.
Student 2 & 3 : He's mister Soh la..

Joke 3#
Student 1: teacher! ( while touching my periced ear loop)
Me: yes?!Student 1: why you got hole ah?

Reminder, student 1 is the same student!!!

At the end of the day, I still love the kids! :) will update more random stuff when i can recall.

Change is good. Been back HOME is even better

Good fun never stops with good friends. Cheers.

It has been a long time since I last updated my blog. Come on Mike, your blog can do with some updates too. Been back for about 3 weeks now. Time passes by so fast and my friends has already started their new semester back in UQ and also friends in local Uni. I'm stilling looking for a job but at the same time, I'm hoping to do some relief teaching in 1 of the primary school. People have been asking me about my life in Brisbane and have I miss the place much.

The answer is a Yes/No. Let me think of the things I don't miss. I don't miss my old house, landlord and some of the international students that I met there. There's nothing personal here. The things i miss a lot must be my church mates from Youth Fellowship, also people like Joshua, May , Ricky and Panda Jo~. It was so nice to have known all of you guys there in my short stay in Brissy and having gone through so much with you guys. I miss 3 monkeys, little singapore in Sunnybank, i miss going to the city aimlessly, I miss going to the chemistry building, I miss mircowaving my food @ the main refect and eating with Jo~ and talking about pple! All the little things that have make my life there so wonderful and beautiful are the things I miss. I knew money won't buy back the time or even the experince. And I was sure I did the best I could for most of the matter to enjoy and prolong the enjoyment and the freedom I have in Brissy. Now that I'm back, I can only look back @ the 1.5years that I was there and at times remember it with my sis Jieh-Yi over a cold beer and telling each other, one day, just oneday, U will be there again, doing it all over again but this time, we will be doing it just for the memories.

May time keeps my memory intact as I still try to live in a fariytale of my own.

P.S. The time @ downunder was great!!!! LOng live the memories.

The end of a new begining

Honestly what will become of me. I don't like reality. It's way too clear to me all the times. But really, life is daily and i will have to live with it. We are what we don't see and sometimes we missed everything daydreaming. The exams are over and it's the time to party!!! It's my last real holiday before going back to Singapore and start working. Another sets of stress and hope come in place. At least millions of people had walk this path before and it doesn't seem that bad. Oh well, who knows. Things may get a little better and clearer in times to come.

Great company

I always hate theme parks and never thought that I would go for any of the famous theme parks at the Gold Coast. But Lela invited me to go with her while she was on holiday here. I couldn't let down a good friend, can I? Movie World wasn't as bad as I thought it was, I did enjoy myself with all the screen of Sherk 4-D and also, my hero when I was younger, Batman with the motion ride.

Our past experiences were telling us not to take the NEW Superman Escape and the NEW Batman Wings. It's almost like a deep drop landing into the abyss. Later on, we went to watch the parade @ the main street of Movie World. Characters like Cat woman, Batman, Sherk, Princess Fiona, Scoppy and Shaggy and many more were on the road, waving and greeting all of us.

The whole day was spent there to make the most of the $44 I paid for the ticket. A special mention goes to the Police Academy Stunt Show. The must see if you go to Movie World.

I always think that the theme parks are there to earn my money to fund the already rich people who are running the place. After this trip, to be fair, looking at the stunt men, the extras, and the people in the costumes, I did help a lot of the people in terms of job security and their families back home. Then come down to this point, what about Sea World? Which I will never go, just like the Ocean Park in HK. Do the poor killer whales or dolphins earn money? Like we humans do, example of maybe AUS$15 an hr? The animals are always in the park 24/7 "working" for us and yet all they get is 3 meals a day. Is freedom not worth the 3 meals? Or are we just being selfish? And making them our slaves?

Is this Legal?
Saw this at Indooroo, it's a kid's shirt. It makes me feel so patriotic.

Life is just a Banana

Do you have a buddy in your life? I was really happy when KFC decided to have the Buddy Meal " with the HIGH 5 action!" in my Poly days. This invention make me bring my buddy along for a good warm KFC meal. It's a time to catch up with one another. Coming overseas to study make me realise that , everyone at the least need a buddy wherever they are. Of course having a buddy staying or at the same State is a bonus too, any meal time is a buddy meal time. Of course with the High 5 action! All this make me think about B1 and B2, as seen in the picture there. Who's the B2 in your life? God don't make us alone on the earth but he make so many beautiful people like your friends, family and love ones to hang out with you. Go now, call a friend that you think is a buddy and go out and have a meal together. Not forgetting with the HIGH 5 action.

Endless Nosense ended about ONE month ago

Had anyone from your household ever stare at you when u came back home? It's like the most weird feeling you ever had. This happened to me a few times and it just felt so weird. Why are there people, who are so busy body? Who in the world will bother to stand at the door for a good ONE minute just to watch and stare at your friend's car. Get a life, if not, at least try to act like you are doing something and not staring.

The church I am attending is just way too cool as compare to the last one I attended. They have proper system for sermons and duties. I like it that way and I knew most of the youth fellowers before I started attending their church; which makes my switch a good and smooth one. At the moment I'm still learning God's words and having a 1 on 1 bible study and that really helps alot.

Now now, I was having a conversation with B2. So it goes,

B2: It's funny hanging out with them.

B1: Ah. . . People who just got attached are like that.

B2: Really?! How come?

B1: They just act childish when they are madly in love.

Think about this, if 10 person came to tell you that you are always angry and no one DARE to talk to you, and worse, no one dare to tell you the truth. What can I do to help this poor person. But the person never knows that all of us are afraid of the person. It's not easy but someone have to do the dirty job. Thinking about it, I better leave that job to B2.

P.S. B2, remember, the answer for most questions is the same, it's SPONTANEOUS!

This is what I have been up to

Problem in church is not solve by telling me this, " We don't do it for ourselves but for God ". I miss AMKPC!!!!

Chew on this, "happiness is a personal choice rather than simply a natural response" from a man of few words.

I have done it!

No longer just a walker. I am a driver now! My mum must be so proud of me, she must have wanted me to drive her around for so long. I am really happy also as it was one of my goal to get the licence this year. Went to golden circle to get some juice for the coming church camp from 15-18 Dec. Hope that it is going to be fun. My summer sem is not that bad, I have a nice and gentle supervisor. My life is shaping up reall nicely here and so are my fats. I'm getting back to my usual self again I guess. Starting to cook a lot more and enjoying myself more. I guess the AUS$3 Pandan leaves does miracle to me. I cooked nasi lemak and chicken rice in just one week. I just love what i cook. More food for the coming week, just stay tune.

New name for my place "Hostel 29"

Alan was saying, do you feel weird the next day after a exam paper. I must admit, there is time when I felt that way, but today, after my last paper, I felt empty. Seems like I have nothing to aim at now. Just praying that I will pass. In the emptiness, there is still heaps of things coming up for me. Going for a volunteer work at Straddie only on 24-25 Nov. I'm so sure I'm going to love it. In the mean time, more driving to do and the test date is confirm to be on 8 Dec 06. Wish me luck. One more sem to go!!

The November Rain is here

I always love November, not because it's the time for exams and the holidays after that. But it's because it's the month of my Birthday!!! It's also my Mum's brithday. Today my youth group gathered together and celebrated the Nov babies. Jess, Joyce and me. We were trying to kill the cake.

I'm still mugging on my notes for Organic Chemistry. Which I really have no idea about. This is really bad. Exams coming so soon yet so many things yet to be done. Will try to update more in the coming weeks. I'm sure once the exams are over, I will have more things to blog about.

Skills from my student leader days are back in use again. Recently helping out in a new youth group call Unique, it's a HK student based and they all speak canto. I'm there to add the fun element into the group. Been really fun to be able to help out Pastor Shek and also to use my game skills. Really hope that I will do a good job here and learn as much from Pastor and one day I can lead a group myself back in Singapore.

Mum, I love you.

Do you live to eat or eat to live?

I always end up talking to my friend about food as the topic. As most of my friends are from different countries, they have never really tried good Singapore food, like nasi lemak, the veg mee from the above picture, laska and many more. Food is one of my weakness, I'm trying to loss weight and be more active after the gathering at youth group. Cooking has never been the same from this week onwards. Heaps of fruits and veg, I will have to love on them for today onwards. Oh, as the mid semester vacation is coming, and also because of the flower festival, the youth group will be heading down to Toowoomba this sat. Will be enjoying my weekend and also looking forward to my Straddie trip.
